I am a member of Zeta Tau Alpha, in case you’ve been living under a rock and hadn’t heard, but every year we meet with the other Arkansas and Oklahoma ZTA chapters for Zeta Day! This year it was located in my hometown so I was blessed to be able to hang out with my parents the night before and then attend the event Saturday!
Zeta Day consists of awards, mingling with alumni, raffles, and lots of pictures (my favorite) this year my chapter won the Membership Award and our Advisor Chapter won awards too! One of my favorite parts is when our president reports the amount of money that we raised for our philanthropy the semester before. Last semester we raised about $25,000 to go towards Breast Cancer Awareness and Education!! How awesome is that!! It is so encouraging to know that all of our efforts actually made a difference since we work so hard each and every day!
Another thing that I was super excited about was the announcement of Nationals wanting to form a Fort Smith, AR Alumni Chapter this year! The great news is they only need ten members SO if you are an alumni Zeta and would be interested in being a member of the Fort Smith Alumni Chapter hit them up!!
These two girls in the pictures are Brittany and Maddie, two of my closest friends. We had such a great time enjoying a mural in downtown Fort Smith during lunch! I wish we would have had more time, but I guess that is just another adventure for another day! Like my outfit? To get the look click here.
