Many people come from all over the world to shop the leather of Italy, the smell of the leather market alone makes me giddy. The thing that you must watch out for is if it is authentic and that it is truly, “Made in Italy.”
I was wandering through the leather market yesterday looking for the perfect duffle and computer bag set to use for business trips, and I stumbled upon the Pelletteria Adriano, a shop certified in selling authentic leather made in Italy. The certification is verified from the card that is in one of the pictures above. The leather is waterproof and scratch proof meaning that hopefully, it will outlast me if I take good care of it.
The owner, Adriano, is the sweetest man with what I believe is to be the greatest selection of leather goods and accessories in all of Florence! He was the sweetest man and gave me the best deal, better than I could have ever imagined anywhere else. I showed him the style that I liked and he assisted me throughout the whole process showing me different interiors as well as the variation of leather colors that he had. (Of course, no authentic leather is all the same.) He also showed my the different styles of duffles that he had from rolling to your standard duffle to the expandable standard duffle, the buying experience with Adriano was unlike any other!
The investment that you make in leather goods is something that should be memorable and Adriano makes sure it is just that! He even picked me up at one point when I complemented the stitching and attention to detail that he has with his pieces! As you could tell from the pictures I was very very surprised!
If you are interested in leather when you visit Florence you can find Adriano at:

I can’t wait to use my duffle this weekend as I head to Venice! Check back this weekend for more pictures from that trip. I am going to be visiting Burano and I am dying to see all the pretty buildings!
