The past couple of weeks have been everything but relaxing. I packed up and moved into my very own apartment with the help of my lovely boyfriend and parents. I started a new diet and have been doing it over a week and I am already super happy with the results (I will post before and after pics at a later date!) I have been working with a local boutique with marketing and all fun things. At the beginning of this week, I also traveled to Dallas, and this is all while still working a full-time job and trying to have a social life.
Honestly, this is the way that I like to live my life, but for lots of my friends and family, it gives them a headache just listening to. I love to be busy and on the go, and I love to be surrounded by people all of the time. I am one of those people that you will rarely find alone and in those moments I am probably asleep, having Jesus time, or studying for school. Jesus has blessed me with the ability to multi task and juggle lots of things at once, and with the blessing of not requiring a huge amount of sleep. (Sometimes this is a bad thing)
With every adventure that I embark on I try to keep people updated on my blog, hence why you are here reading now, but sometimes keeping a working journal of your life is time-consuming, so bear with me peeps I wanna share all I am doing, but sometimes there is just no time!
So now for the good part…… DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!
I went to Dallas!!
At the beginning of this week, my mom, our decorator Terri (who has decorated for us forever and is almost family), and I all drove to Dallas at the crack of dawn. Why? Because for some time now my parents have been building a condo on the beach in Destin, FL and it is now time to start ordering furniture! Which everyone knows is the most fun part of it all!
Once we got to Dallas we went straight to the World Trade Center where we went to showroom after showroom trying to find pieces that would all look good together in the condo. We shopped for everything from china to beds to fabric to go on the chairs. It was exhausting, but it was one of the coolest things I have done in a while.
It was also my mom’s birthday so Monday night we ate at the Restaurant at the Renaissance Hotel where we were staying and it was AMAZING! For even being on a diet mom and I had great meals! The restaurant is, “farm to fire,” and all of the food we ate was fantastic! Mom and I even split a salad to start and I was amazed at how good it was too, even though it was a salad! 10/10 would recommend eating there on your next trip to Dallas!
All in all that was a great trip! We had lots of laughs and we found some pretty great pieces for the condo! I can’t wait to share it with everyone when it is done!
Happy Thursday everyone! It is almost Friday so don’t give up you can make it!
xoxo,
lex
