Our London adventure was much like the Beatles song we were there and then we weren’t. It was an amazing weekend in an amazing city exploring the sights and some fish and chips!
The one thing that I couldn’t leave London without seeing was Abbey Road. I am a huge Beatles fan and this was the perfect end to a long day exploring the Kensington and Picadilly areas of London. This was actually another side of London that I don’t think many people take the time to see. It was around 4 o’clock the streets were pretty dead and it was apparent that we were definitely in a residential area, which was cool to see where people who weren’t insanely wealthy lived.
The road itself was pretty anticlimactic. It was honestly just another crosswalk but the Abbey Studios shop was cool to see and the music legends that had visited there was absolutely insane! Of course, we had to get “the” picture so a lady was kind enough to capture us walking across and back across the street!
*** Sidenote: If you ever go to do this: it is an actual road. DO NOT POSE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD IT LOOKS WEIRD AND THE CARS GET MAD!****
Overall London was great the food was eh, but the sites made up for it! I will definitely have to venture back soon! I was completely not dressed for the weather though, opposed to the way the pictures look, London’s weather is basically more bipolar than Arkansas and it is nowhere near the starting temperatures. At one point in the day it was drizzling so I stopped to get an umbrella and the moment I walked out of the store with it the rain stopped. Not. Even. Kidding.
The couple of tops that I did pack actually kept me slightly warm and the jacket I brought last minute was a great choice! Find my outfit details in the widget below!
