Finals Week Fun is here!!!

Finals Week is something that I dread every single semester. But this semester is thankfully my last one!!! So after 6 finals weeks and this being my 7th I thought that I could share some good tips and tricks for how to survive finals week!

Sleep

Seriously everyone needs sleep and if you don’t get the adequate sleep you aren’t going to be able to retain any information for your tests that you are studying for, which would, in fact, defeat the purpose of studying all together! I normally try to keep an 8-6 form of studying. So I am at the library by 8 take a lunch with me or snacks and then I leave at 6 and go do something unrelated to school for the rest of the night. I have found this schedule is better for me as a person and keeps me healthy during finals week.

Eat Well and Workout

This is so so so important I can’t express this point enough! You need to be in the best shape possible for your tests so be sure to drink enough water, eat meals that have enough protein in them, and listen to your body. I feel like college students are so bad at listening to their bodies and giving them what they need, which is why we are sick majority of the time. Take care of yourself so that you can ace your tests! Also working out is a GREAT stress reliever!! You can read this article here about all of the benefits of working out when you’re stressed!

Have A Study Plan

I religiously use my planner to plan out what tests I have when, and which ones I am studying for on which days. Blocking off your time so that you are studying for one class for 2 hours and then switching to another for the next two hours is a great way to stay focused and on track. I am slightly ADD so for me this helps me focus and have confidence that I will have enough time to study for every test or project that I have!

Start Compiling Your Study Materials Early

One of the things that takes me the longest is actually getting all of the notes and study guides together that I need to study. It normally takes longer than studying. Make sure that you have all of the materials that you need is essential to being prepared for your test. Normally the week before finals I go through and make sure I have all the right notes and if I am missing anything I have enough time to phone a friend!

Stay Motivated

Staying motivated is be far harder than all of the other parts but it is definitely worth it! Find something to work towards, be passionate about it, and you can go anywhere in life and achieve anything you want! Be sure to read my post about the 4 Ways To Stay Motivated here!

I hope you all have a wonderful finals week full of A’s and finish strong!
