Are you getting ready to travel for the holiday season? I recently flew out to Eugene, Oregon, and wanted to share my travel outfit and tips with you guys to help you prepare!

Travel Outfit

The best thing to remember when you are traveling is that planes and airports are rarely hot.

Usually planes and airports are freezing, well at least to me. Because of this I normally wear leggings for comfort, a comfortable tee, and a pullover or jacket. I like to dress in layers just in case I do get hot. Then I can always take my jacket off.

Wearing socks is pretty much a must.

I also normally don’t wear shoes with laces, I wear a shoe that is easy to get on and off in the security line. I also always wear socks with my shoes, even in the winter time, for obvious sanitary reasons. Some airports do not require everyone to remove their shoes, but some still do. Those are the times that I am thankful I am not barefoot. Can you even imagine the germs that are on an airport floor?

Bring extra power.

Bringing an external charger for your devices is a lifesaver. Many times during travel, you will find yourself searching for a plugin to use during layover. The problem is, there are a bunch of people doing the exact same thing. Instead of fighting for one, just bring an external charger or power bank. Trust me your life will be 10x simpler.

Pack as much as you can in a checked bag.

Some people would disagree with this, but in my experience, packing in a carry on is risky. Sometimes the carry on that you chose won’t fit on the plane. In this case, they make people gate check their bag, and you have to actually wait outside of the plane after you land to retrieve it. This is not the way that you want to go if you only have a 30-45 minute layover. I have actually seen people freak out and get extremely impatient because they were about to miss their connecting flight. Take my advice, pack a carry on that fits under your seat and check everything else!

I hope that these tips help you guys in your travels this holiday season!
