When Fall comes around I can’t help but want to cook sweets, grab my flannel shirts, and make a bonfire every night. So, this weekend I decided I would take a stab at making Caramel Popcorn Balls! What could be more Fall than that!?! I shared a little sneak peak on Instagram and you guys wanted the full recipe, so here it is! I hope you guys enjoy and have a great time making them!
Caramel Popcorn Balls
1/2 Cup of Butter (same thing as one stick)
1/2 Cup Light Corn Syrup
1 Cup Packed Brown Sugar
14 oz Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 Tbsp Vanilla
8 – 10 Cups of Popcorn
- Bring the Butter, syrup, and sugars to a boil, keep bubbling over medium heat until it is 240 degrees… use a candy thermometer.
- Add the sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla and boil for another minute.
- Pour over the popcorn and stir.
- Spread popcorn over a wax paper lined baking sheet and let cool.
- After it has cooled for a bit with your hands, portion it out and ball up into 8 popcorn balls.
- Check as they harden that they keep their form. You can also put in freezer to accelerate the process!
I hope you guys enjoy making this recipe as much as I did! It is definitely messy, but it made me feel like a kid again! 🙂
