- Where were you born? Little Rock, AR Fun fact both of my parents signed my birth certificate because my mom was the Medical Director at the time!
- What did you want to be when you grew up when you were little? I have always loved art and I wanted to either be an artist or a cake decorator!
- What is your favorite thing to do? Go to concerts or tailgating on Saturdays for Razorback games!
- What is something about you that people wouldn’t guess? I love to hunt. This past season I shot my first buck with a rifle and it was a perfect shot at 190 yards out. (Not a lie. I had a witness)
- What is something that you couldn’t live without? Diet Coke or my camera
- When did you start taking pictures? Probably when I was 5 or 6. My aunt has always had nice cameras and I used to love giving her a break at family events!
- Favorite movie? Remember the Titans or The Notebook
- How did you come up with your blog name? So my name is Alexa McLain. (Duh) But my parents both worked their way up in life and are very successful, my brothers are both awesome too and everyone in our family has never met a stranger. All of my life I have always been, “Scott’s daughter,” or “Cindy’s Daughter,” or “Eric/Sumner’s Sister,” So here is where I tell you what it is like to be a McLain, and it is a play on my first initial and last name!
- Favorite band? Whiskey Myers or Turnpike Troubadours hands down the most amazing music I have ever listened to.
- Favorite TV show? Law & Order SVU. I live for the marathons on the weekends, especially in the winter time.
- Any Nicknames? Lex, Honey Bunches of Lex (that’s from my boyfriend), Pumpkin (my mom), and Girlfriend (my dad).
- Favorite Food? Egg and Cheese Breakfast Tacos that my boyfriend makes for me at all hours of the day. (He made them for me at 2 am once… that is true love)
- Favorite Restaurant? Wasabi in Fayetteville, AR It is close to my house and the struggle is real resisting the urge to eat my weight in Sushi.
- How many countries have you been to? 6! Haiti (twice for missions), England, Italy, Canada (for a day but it counts!), Mexico (We have a time share in Cabo! I have probably gone 6-8 times!), and various places in the US!
- Favorite Holiday? Christmas for sure!
- Most embarrassing moment? I was playing in a basketball game when I was in junior high and I accidentally went the wrong direction after the half and the stands were completely full of my friends and parents. People reminded me what side was ours the rest of the season…. it was awful.
- Favorite Vacation Spot? Destin, FL! My family has gone so many times that we just decided to build a place down there! Hopefully, it will be done soon and I can share my beach room decorations!
- Favorite place in the whole world? Gruene, TX. It is my happy place and I could hang out there forever.
- Who is your role model? My grandfather that passed away in February, Robert Keathley. He is the most honest and humble person that I have ever known and if I could even be half of him one day I would be one lucky girl. He had no enemies and never as much raised hiss voice at anyone even the one time he gave me a whipping with his belt. I miss him every single day.
- What makes you mad? When girls are mean to each other. Everyone just needs to chill out and be nice cause it is just easier that way.
- Any big plans for your 21st? Graduate with my undergrad degree, get my Real Estate License and apply for Grad school. Other than that nothing much!
